Michael is an accomplished business leader with a track record of increasing revenues, profits and market share while driving high levels of customer and employee loyalty. He is equally capable of directing cross-functional global R&D teams.
Prior to Valydate, Michael held a variety of management positions in Business Development, Sales, Operations, and Engineering within Nortel Networks, CoreSim and most recently Fidus Systems where he led the company’s expansion into Silicon Valley.
Michael received a Bachelors of Computer Systems Engineering (High Distinction, Senate Metal)) from Carleton University and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. He is the recipient of many honors and awards including the OBJ 2009 Forty under Forty Award.
Mark Cianfaglione leads the software and analysis development teams. His 20+ years of experience in hardware and software product design brings the insight required to ensure the highest product quality.
Mark has worked in a variety of industries including military, automotive, industrial automation and telecommunication. He started his career working as a test engineer for the military where robustness and reliability were expected. Mark took that mentality and applied it to every aspect of his career. His wide field of knowledge has helped bring normally separated teams together towards common goals.
Mark has received several awards for innovation in both the product design and manufacturing fields. Mark's education in electrical engineering and nuclear and semiconductor physics has been updated and augmented through the years to include RF, optical, software development and project management.
VP of Business Development
Peter brings to Valydate over 30 years of experience in engineering, sales, procurement, operations and business development. Peter has built long term partner and customer relationships across Canada, the U.S. and Australia.
Peter began his career with 10 years at Gandalf, designing, installing and selling the Gandalf taxi dispatch system, one of the earliest practical uses of mobile computing combined with wireless technology. He serviced and sold dispatch systems in Canada, the United States and Australia, selling the world’s largest taxi dispatch system of the time in Sydney, Australia.
Peter then joined Cemtech Ltd for 8 years as part owner, involved with Procurement and Product Line Management, managing a purchasing budget of approximately $30M in the grey box Personal Computer market. Cemtech designed, manufactured and sold PCs to the Federal Government on the National Master Standing Offer, to regional school boards and private industry.
When Cadence Design Systems (Ottawa) engaged Peter as Business Development Manager, he began a career in the Engineer Design Services market spending the last 14 years at Fidus Systems Inc. in Ottawa as Vice President of Business Development.
Peter holds a B.Eng. from Carleton University.
